Tuesday in early trade, Equity market started with the red note. Nifty holds 8600. Sensex declined 8.25 points or 0.3 percent at 28087.09. Nifty down 6.75 points or 0.9 percent at 8628.30. It touched a high of 8643.95 and low of 8620.45 in morning trade. BSE midcap index rose 0.31 percent and BSE smallcaps index was trading 0.41 percent higher.
Oriental Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, and Reliance Power bounces 4-3.3 percent on BSE midcap.
Bank Nifty slipped 0.25 percent at below 18950. The market breadth positive as about 1146 shares advanced against 726 declined shares on BSE.
Tata Steel ( up 1.75 percent ), ACC ( up 1.72 percent ), Ambuja Cements ( up 1.41 percent ), Axis Bank ( up 1.15 percent ), Wipro ( up 1.13 percent ) were the major Sensex gainer.
Lupin ( down 1.37 points ), Asian Paints ( down 1.03 percent ), Bharti Airtel ( down 1.01 percent ), Maruti Suzuki ( down 0.98 percent ), ICICI Bank ( down 0.97 percent ) were the major Sensex loser.
Metal, Power, and Consumer Durable share showing positive on the sectoral basis.
