The Equity Market ended with a record high for the fourth consecutive session. On Tuesday, The market started with the sluggish mode, but the end of the day Sensex and Nifty both continued gained for the fourth consecutive day. The BSE Sensex was up 50 points at 31,159 and NSE Nifty closed at 9625, up 20 points. Sensex breaks its old record and touched all time high at 31,220. The market breadth as about 1233 shares was advanced against 1449 shares, and 155 shares were unchanged. The midcap index was seen in negative strength in the morning trade but after some time its regained, BSE Midcap index was up 0.83 percent, and BSE Smallcap index up 0.46 percent. while NSE Nifty Midcap index was up 1.08 percent. All Sectors closed in green remaining Capital Goods, Consumers Durables and FMCG.
Adani Ports, NTPC, Dr Reddys Labs, Hero Motocorp, and ICICI Bank were the top gainers, whereas BHEL, ITC, Larsen, HDFC, Bharti Airtel were the most lost in the Sensex.
