The benchmarks indices Sensex and Nifty ended higher with positive global cues and supporting gains in heavyweight shares on Wednesday. The end of the day Nifty ended above 9850 and Sensex closed above 31550. All sector ended in positive territory remaining FMCG sector.
Sensex was up 276 points and closed at 31568, while Nifty was up 87 points, ended at 9852. Sensex touched an intraday high of 31593. these are more than 301 points higher against the previous level. while Nifty touched an intraday high of 9856, these are more than 90 points higher against the previous level.
Adani Ports was top gainers on BSE, surged 2.82 percent at 385.05, other gainers were Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Dr Reddys Labs, and Infosys. while HUL was major losers on BSE, lower by 1.10 percent at 1,187.55. other gainers were Sun Pharma, ITC, M&M, and TCS.
