On the first day of the week, The equity market has opened at the flat note. Nifty hovering its crucial support level of 8,650. Sensex trading around 28,000. Sensex up 2.63 points or 0.01 percent at 27784.22. It touched a high of 27,827.26 and a low of 27,698.71 in morning trade. Nifty was trading at 8570.90, down 1.85 points or 0.02 percent. It touched a high of 8,583.75 and a low of 8,543.75 in early trade.
BSE midcap fell 0.11 percent at 12,985.62. While BSE smallcaps index up 0.5 percent at 12,493.14.
Bank Nifty down 0.30 percent at 19138.25. While Oil & Gas index rose 0.26 percent at 10938.57.
Tata Motors ( up 4.53 percent ), Hero Motocorp ( up 1.44 percent ), Tata Steel (up 1.10 percent ), Reliance ( up 1.01 percent ), Sun Pharma ( up 0.76 percent ) are the major gainers.
TCS ( down 1.90 percent ), Wipro ( down 1.59 percent ), HDFC Bank ( down 1.14 percent ), Asian Paints ( down 1.10 percent ), Lupin ( down 1.06 percent ) are the top losers in the Sensex.
