On the first day of the week, the market has opened higher. Sensex rallied over 100 points in morning trade. Nifty has opened at new 52 - week high on Monday. Sensex was trading at 28182.29, up 103.94 points or 0.37 percent. It touched a high of 28,226.38 and a low of 28,154.49 in morning trade. Nifty was trading at 8711.55, up 27.95 points or 0.32 percent. It touched a high of 8,723.50 and a low of 8,700.10 in the 30 minutes of trade. BSE midcap was trading 0.45 percent higher at 12,755.88. BSE smallcap index up 0.63 percent at 12,384.41. If we are looking on the sectoral basis, All index are green note remaining Pharma and PSU Banks. Bank Nifty rose 0.21 percent at 18965.55. Metal shares bounced nearly 1 percent and Media shares, Auto shares up 0.6 percent. Reliance, Lupin, Cipla, Wipro, and Bajaj Auto were top contributors to Sensex's gains. Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Tata Steel, Larsen, and Sun Pharma were losers in the Sensex.
