Wednesday market closed at the flat note, After a lot of struggle the market ended in the deep red. Sensex falls 284.20 points or 1 percent at 27,697.51 and Nifty slipped 78.05 points or 0.9 percent at 8,544.85. Nifty lost its crucial level of 8,600. Throughout the day, both the equity benchmarks traded with losses. About 1812 shares declined, 913 shares have advanced and 142 shares are unchanged. BSE midcap down 1.53 percent at 12,440.63 and BSE smallcap down 1.14 percent at 12,080.49. Realty, Power, FMCG, Energy and Auto shares ended with the flat note. BSE realty indices declined most at 2.15 percent. Bank Nifty down 0.57 percent at 18,602. S&P BSE Oil & Gas down 1.11 percent at 10,448.99.
Today's Top Gainers and Losers
Gainers - Cipla, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, Coal India and Bharti Airtel were the major Sensex gainer.
Losers - BHEL, ITC, Tata Motors, Reliance and Maruti Suzuki were the top losers in the Sensex.
